Subject: which shoes are best for triatholon and marathon
|
Hi i had Nike Zoom Elite II, loved them, Then got Brooks Trance- they are no good as the lace eyelet rubs on my feet and makes my feet bleed, My shoe shop said i could swap them, i want a serious triatholon, running shoe. They sugguested Brooks Racer ST or T4 Racer. Anyone got any ideas which would be better for a 6 foot light mild pronator male with a high arch? Thanks

thanks charlie, i just got the latest model zooms elites again in grey. They are a bit stiffer than the trance, but at least i wont get rubbing from eyelets. I think they are a fraction hard and a fraction heavier, cant go past Nike!

Please tell me you're not worried that they aren't "serious" running shoes because they're Nike! http://tinyurl.com/smlh8 > Then got Brooks Trance- they are no good as the lace eyelet rubs on my > feet and makes my feet bleed, > My shoe shop said i could swap them, i want a serious triatholon, > running shoe. > They sugguested Brooks Racer ST or T4 Racer. I've never tried the T4 but have worn the Racer ST, the iteration they were selling in late 2004 or early 2005 that is. The T4 is one of the skimpiest flats sold and the Racer ST is more of a lightweight trainer, closer to the Zoom Elite but I think a bit lighter. Which is *better* is something you'll have to answer - how can we know how each will fit you, whether some part of the shoe will rub you the wrong way like the Trance, or how much cushion or support you require? And I stand by my prior suggestion that if you've got high arches, you might look at some Filas.
