Thank you for the heads-up. I keep forgetting that. I think I've had
the reason *why* figured out about six times in my life so far, but
can't seem to hold on to the science. This is due to my primitive
(Ptolemaic) cosmology: the sun gets up over here and goes down over
there! I *do* prefer to think of the solstice as midsummer.
