Subject: shoes for orthotics

I'm looking to get a pair of training shoes that work well with
orthotics. In the past I've used various board-lasted Nikes but have
heard that fewer shoes are made that way nowadays. I'm about 155lbs
and flat feet and a little pronation that orthotics help a lot.

The shoe geeks have found other ways to maximize stability so you won't
find many or any board lasted shoes. That's not bad news. Do you really
need the stability of shoe like a Brooks Beast brick and then orthotics?
I would stay away from a cushioned shoe but a stability or motion
control shoe should meet your needs unless you're 250 pounds and a
severe over-pronator.
