I'm training for half on Dec 10th. I do 3 x 4miles during the week and 1 long run on the weekend. So this week I should do 3x4 and then 10 miles over the weekend. But with Thanksgiving travel etc I won't be able to do the 10 miles this weekend. I ran 9 miles on Sunday. If I do the 10 miles on Wednesday will it be too much too early? (for better visualization) Last week M: off Tu: 4 W: 4 Th: 4 F: off Sa: off Su:* 9* This week can I do: M: off Tu: off W: *10* Th: off As you can see there's not much gap between my two long runs. Is this ok or will I be risking injury? Alternately i can skip the long run this week and just do 4 miles everyday until next thursday and then run 11 miles on next Sunday. don't know which is better. Thanks.

You can greatly exceed your average in a short window, as long as you don't push it week after week. Cheers, -- Elflord
