After I complete my second half marathon this year I would like to buy
something to commemorate. Since it conveniently falls during the
holiday season I'm willing to take advantage of the sales. I don't do
ipod. So other than ipod and all the gizmos that go along with it...
what can $100 get you these days? What is the best running gift anyone
ever gave you? Since I have nothing related to running (other than
shoes and few running clothes) I'm looking for any ideas.

Thanks.

If you run in cold weather, sporthill explorer top (or something similar -- anything
with a windproof front and breathable back) This would have to be the best running
related purchase I've made. And it's outlived many pairs of shoes!!!

shoes
clothes (CW-X shorts or tights, winter stuff)
hydration pack
If you live in icy areas, traction devices. (running snowshoes are
outside that price range)

I always feel happy when I buy a new pair of shoes. For about
$100, you could also invest in some cold weather running clothing
items.

If you live and share in winter climates some upper body article of
clothing such as a high tec shirt or jacket. I still have my original
Gortex jacket from 18 years ago and although it has lost some of
properties, it still gets a lot of use.

Running is it's own gift...
