got a head start on David and his initial Training Week post today..... i'm on the computer NOW and won't be later, so here goes... my week: su-no run, weights, core workout m-2:00 long run went fantastic, legs fine, stomach just a little weird at the end t-no run, core w/o w-1:00 tempo run, strong and fast th-no run, core w/o f-00:50 tempo run with some surges in the second half sa-no run, 00:45 swim, core w/o su-no run, weights, MAYBE go out on the bike today (i should) GOALS: two more weeks til race day (half marathon). will do one more 2:00 long run, then will be into taper week when i'll scale back, but keep up the intensity. anxiously waiting for my new fuel belt to come in the mail so i can use it at least a few times before the race. this is a style that'll be an improvement on the belt i have been using in training. if it proves too "different" or something for such a last-minute change for the race, i'll stick with my old belt. after the race, cut back on the long run to maybe 1:00-1:30, which will still be fine prep for the Aug. triathlon. get cycling more! hardly been out at all due to crappy weather lately, and at this rate, i'll only get in about two months of training prior to the Olympic distance triathlon in early August. s'all for now.... happy training, Cam
