If you haven't tried the Brooks Axiom, I suggest you wait till the next
version. The soles have a coating of hard plastic that makes it sound
like you're wearing taps! Not a bad shoe otherwise but very annoying on
the roads!

Hi :),
The Adidas Adistar Cushion has the same hard plastic on its sole. Only
thing I can think it's good for is making others aware of you coming
when you're running on the sidewalk in the city. Maybe it provides a
better grip on the gravel too.
