I didn't do as well as the last two years. I still got my Niketown mug
for finishing in the top 1000, though. #794.

I didn't run it, but I heard from someeone that was there that there was a
possible terrorist threat. Have you heard about that? It was not reported
in the news. At the start there were the normal news choppers, but one
chopper was not marked and was getting very close to the runners.

There's always a "possibility". I ran Peachtree and didn't see any
unusual activity. At the start there was what I assume was a police
helicopter. The police helicopter was circulating at a lower altitude
than the news helicopters, but that's a standard operating procedure,
isn't it? The police helicopter was passing above the surrounding
buildings rather than swooping between them, so not so unusual.

Could be. I wasn't there, so I'm hearing this fourth hand. Someone with
whom I work said there *was* a terrorist threat. She was told by her
running club's director, who apparently has an inside source. That's all
I know. Just wanted to know if anyone can confirm this.
