Precor is a perfectly good brand, they often use the heavier models in gyms. But you get what you pay for. Generally, cheaper models are less durable, have weaker motors, etc. You're going to get much better information by searching the web than you will posting here. Again, I would check the reviews: <http://www.tmdor.com/pages/precorreviewsindex.php > (Is this another used model?) The closest current appears to be the 9.23 and it looks "decent".
