I've decided against a half right now. I signed up for a local 5k on Saturday and might do a dualthlon on Sunday if I feel up to it. I might try the Hairy Gorilla Half on 29th, if it goes well maybe I'll go to Philly. My wife talked about going to watch NYC this year (because Lance is running, no not our Lance) but we don't have a hotel reservation yet so I don't think it's likely to happen. Good luck it does look to be perfect weather. Enjoy the pizza or curry. Parker

Will this/these be your first race(s) in about three weeks? Feeling good on training runs these days?

I ran a fairly challenging (hills)7 mile race two weeks ago. I took it easy and ran 7:54 pace or something like that. I'm setting a modest goal of running sub 7 in the 5k, I really don't know what to expect. Last year it was pouring buckets and 22 minutes won my group, it will probably take 18:00 or lower to place this year. I was the butt of many jokes two years ago, I ran 20:00 exactly and was edged out for 3rd in my age group by a guy wearing a golf shirt!
