I ran the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving day.
It was sunny, started in mid 30's at 7AM and got to 60 degrees that
afternoon.
Volunteers were the best. I would like to thank all 1200 of them.
Fantastic arrangement !!
I will recommend this event to anyone.

Summary:

1. 8000 participants. 1000 participants in Full Marathon.
2. Website Atlantatrackclub.com
3. Fewer spectators, but cheers like hell....
4. Small size expo.
5. Full sleeve t-shirt. Shiny Medal.
6. Plenty of water and sports drink. Equal number of Starbucks on
route.
7.Entry fee is $35 for half Marathon.
8.Easy to get to starting point. Easy to get out.
9.Small and enjoyable.

You're welcome. In my 4 years of either running or volunteering (when
injured), this year's event had the best weather ever. No rain, no wind,
no windy rain...

PD (injured, but still alive)

Thank you, Teresa.
I ran the Marine Corps on last week of October. So, I decided to run
the Atlanta half as a long run. Well, I was hurting on the run and the
next couple of days. But, I think it is one of the best low key,
throughly enjoyable, Marathon event. You could race this one. In Marine
Marathon you are running bumper to bumper for the first 9 - 10 miles. I
think that is not fun. It is like driving in Atlanta in rush hour.

OK, thanks for the info! Hope the MC Marathon went well also. I think I
may have missed any reports that came out about then. Hope your legs
are feeling fresh soon!
