Running a half marathon tomorrow morning - supposed to be 50 degrees F and
raining... Seeking advice on attire (thick socks vs thin, hat, shorts /
long pants, etc) - TIA

the exercise will keep you warm. you dont need a hat. long pants are
just going to get wet and weigh you down.

Hi Mike,

Today I ran a 13 miler in the rain and 45 degrees (in NYC). I was
dressed in a pair of shorts, a thin synthetic shirt and a baseball hat.
Everything was fine except for my hands, should have worn gloves. I
wore my regular socks but it is up to you, don't worry about keeping
your feet warm, they will be plenty warm.

I wear baseball hats to keep the rain from getting into my eyes. I hate
running with a face full of rain.

Keep in mind this though, when you finish how long do you expect it to
be before you get into warm clothes? How long before you are out of the
rain?

Good luck in the race and tell us how you did.

Andy
